Proctoring in HRStop Hire helps ensure test authenticity by monitoring candidate activity during an online assessment.
What does proctoring do?
- Tracks tab switching.
- Uses the webcam to monitor if the candidate is present.
- Automatically submits the test after a set number of warnings.
- Optional features like focus loss alerts.
How to enable proctoring

Go to Tools → Assessment
- Navigate to the Assessment tool under Tools.

Click + New Test or edit an existing test
- You can enable proctoring while creating a new test or by editing an existing one.

Under test settings, locate the checkboxes for:
- Enable Proctoring
- Make Proctoring Optional
- Auto-submit on Tab Switch (e.g., 3 warnings)

Can candidates re-attempt assessments?
Yes, but only if multiple attempts are enabled during assessment creation.
While creating/editing a test under Tools → Assessment, turn on the “Allow Re-Attempts” setting.
How does proctoring detect cheating?
