Understand job status categories

HRStop Hire classifies jobs into different status categories to help recruiters and hiring managers clearly distinguish between active, internal, and completed positions.


Job status types explained

Published

  • The job is live and visible on:
    • Your company’s career page
    • Integrated job boards (LinkedIn, Naukri, etc.)
    • Public-facing APIs (if configured)
  • Accepts applications from candidates
  • Typically used for external hiring

Internal

  • The job is not publicly listed
  • Only visible to:
    • Logged-in users (employees)
    • Referral sources (if enabled)
  • Common use cases:
    • Internal transfers
    • Department-specific hiring
    • Confidential roles

Archived

  • The job is closed or completed
  • No longer accepts applications
  • Still accessible for:
    • Reporting
    • Audit logs
    • Reviewing past hiring data
  • Cannot be edited or re-opened directly (use "Clone" if re-hiring)

Where to view job status

  • Jobs → Filter by “Published”, “Internal”, or “Archived” on the top right or left-hand panel
