Setting up an onboarding workflow in the Hiring Bull Portal helps streamline the new hire experience, ensuring that every step of the process is smooth, consistent, and well-documented. Follow this step-by-step guide to create and customize a pre-onboarding workflow tailored to your organizational needs.


1. Log in to the Hiring Bull Portal

  • Launch the portal: Open your web browser and navigate to the Hiring Bull Portal.
  • Access your account: Enter your username and password to log in.

2. Navigate to the Tools Section

  • On the top navigation bar, locate and click on the Tools menu.

 3. Select “Onboarding” from the Dropdown

  • From the Tools dropdown, select Onboarding to proceed to the onboarding management section.

4. Access the Workflow Tab

  • On the Onboarding page, click on Workflow to open the workflow configuration interface.

5. Add a New Workflow

  • Click the Add Workflows button to start creating a new onboarding process.

6. Fill in Basic Workflow Details

  • Title: Enter a descriptive name for your workflow.
  • Description: Provide a brief overview of the workflow's purpose.

7. Assign a Default Buddy

  • Title & Description: Summarize the step and add helpful notes.
  • Duration: Set deadlines or timeframes for completion.

10. Add Optional Sections (Basic Info, Candidature Info, etc.)

  • Choose from predefined sections such as Basic Info, Candidature Info, and Education Info.
  • Select the specific details you want the candidate to provide.

11. Add Additional Custom Steps

  • Click Add New Step to include more steps based on your organization’s requirements.
  • Select from available categories to define the type of information or activity for each new step.

12. Customize Step Sections

  • Choose which sections you want to display in each step. The portal will reflect your selections accordingly.

13. Attach Documents

  • Click Add More Document Type to request specific documents.
  • Specify the number required, e.g., request 6 months of payslips by entering “6” next to Payslips.

14. Assign Tasks Using To-Do’s

  • Use the To-Do’s feature to allocate specific tasks to the candidate during onboarding (e.g., submitting forms, attending meetings).

15. Add Custom Forms

  • Navigate to: Candidate Info > Custom Forms.
  • Select and attach the appropriate form types that candidates need to fill during onboarding.
