May 28, 2025

Automatically close job postings once a defined application or hiring limit is reached. This helps in preventing unnecessary applications and controlling candidate inflow.

Steps to Configure Auto-Close Settings:

  1. Access Job Creation or Edit Page
    • Navigate to Jobs from the left panel.
    • Click Create Job or Edit an existing job.
  2. Scroll to ‘Job Settings’ Section
    • Find the section labeled Job Settings, usually at the bottom of the job creation form.
  3. Enable Auto-Close Toggle
    • Turn ON the Auto-Close Job toggle to activate this feature.
  4. Define Auto-Close Criteria
You can set one or both of the following thresholds:
    • Maximum Number of Applications: The total number of applications received before the job is closed.
    • Maximum Number of Candidates Hired: Once this number of hires is recorded, the job is automatically unpublished.
  5. Save the Job Settings
    • Click Save or Publish Job to make the settings effective.

What Happens Next:

  • Once any of the limits are met:
    • The job posting will be unpublished from the career page.
    • Applications via job boards or internal referrals will also be blocked.

Best Practices:

  • Set application limits for high-volume roles.
  • Use candidate hired limit for specialized positions with specific headcount.
