What Are Pending Resumes?

May 29, 2025

Pending Resumes are resumes that have been uploaded to the system but haven’t been fully processed or assigned to any job or candidate profile yet. This feature acts as a holding area for recruiter review.

How Pending Resumes Work:

When resumes are uploaded through:

  • Bulk resume uploads
  • CSV imports
  • Email parsing (e.g., jobs@yourcompany.com)
  • Vendor submissions without direct job assignment

These resumes land in the Pending Resumes section.

Steps to Access and Review Pending Resumes:

  1. Go to the “Candidates” Module
    • From the left navigation panel, select Candidates.
  2. Open the “Pending Resumes” Tab
    • Click on the “Pending Resumes” tab.
    • Here, you’ll find all unassigned or unparsed resumes listed.
  3. Review Resume Details
    • The system attempts to auto-parse basic data (name, email, phone).
    • If parsing fails or is partial, you may be prompted to complete missing fields.
  4. Assign to a Job
    • Select the resume and click “Assign to Job”.
    • Choose the appropriate job and pipeline stage.
    • Fill in missing candidate information and click Save.
  5. Delete or Archive (Optional)
    • If a resume is invalid or not needed, choose to delete or archive it.

Benefits:

  • Avoids missing resumes in bulk workflows.
  • Ensures human verification before pipeline entry.
  • Keeps candidate records clean and organized.
