How to Create an Assessment

Assessments are used to evaluate candidate skills as part of the interview process. You can design, configure, and manage tests directly within the Hiring Bull portal.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Go to Tools > Assessment
    • Login and navigate to Tools.
    • Select Assessment.
  2. Click ‘+ New Test’
    • Start creating a new test by clicking the “+ New” button.
  3. Fill Out the Basic Details
    • Name: Title of the test (e.g., "Technical Aptitude – Java").
    • Test Type: Choose between aptitude, technical, personality, etc.
    • Duration: Time allotted for the test (e.g., 30 minutes).
    • Auto-Submission Time: After this time, the test will automatically be submitted.
    • Description: Optional field to add notes or test instructions.
  4. Enable Test Integrity Options
    • Proctoring: Enable to activate camera monitoring (see Article 8).
    • Tab Switch Restriction: Limit tab changes to prevent cheating.
    • Randomized Questions: Show questions in different orders for each candidate.
  5. Add Questions
    • Go to the Manage Questions tab.
    • Choose question types:
      • Single choice
      • Multiple choice
      • Text-based
      • Programming
      • Video response
    • Enter marks, topic, and tags.
    • Optionally, use the Import feature to upload questions in bulk from Excel.
  6. Click ‘Save’
    • Once complete, click Save to publish the test.
    • The test can now be linked to interview stages or sent to candidates directly.
