What is the difference between onboarding and pre-onboarding?


Pre-onboarding begins once a candidate is marked as "Offered" and involves collecting documents, forms, and personal details before the joining date.
Onboarding may extend to activities that happen after Day 1, such as assigning mentors, verifying originals, or setting up internal systems.

Example: Pre-onboarding includes PAN card submission; onboarding includes IT asset handover.
